How To Send A Thank You Email After A Job Interview

After your job interview, remember to send a “Thank you” email.

Many people put in a lot of time preparing their resumes and interviews, but don't take the opportunity to send a thank you email to those who interviewed them. Sending a thank you email is a fantastic opportunity to further your relationship with your interviewers and show courtesy to those who gave their time to interview you.

Also, sending a quick thank you email is a great way to show your interest and help them keep you at the top of their mind. It is a simple activity that will increase your chances of getting an offer by leaving a positive impression with your interviewers.

Here are a few points to consider to when creating your thank you email:

  • Express appreciation for the interviewer’s time

  • Show your excitement and reiterate how you will help the company

  • Ask if they have any questions

  • Close the email with reiterating your appreciation and asking about next steps

Here is an example you can use:

Example Thank You Email

“Hi [Interviewer Name],

Thank you so much for your time and meeting with me yesterday. It was such a pleasure to learn more about your team and the role.

I’m very excited about the opportunity to join [Company Name] and help [what you do best: [bring in new clients/develop world-class content/anything else that you would be doing] with your team.

I look forward to hearing from you about the next steps in the hiring process, and please do not hesitate to contact me if you need more information.

Thanks again for your time!

Kind regards,
[Your name]”

Remember to send a thank you email within 24 hours after your interview. Send it regardless of if you had an in-person interview or online interview. Interviewers remember those who send them thank you emails.

If you have a challenging time coming up with your own thank you email, use the template abive to create your own.

That’s all for now.

Much love!
